Volunteer to serve in Mulberry's Children's Ministry
A Personal Note from Mary Dowden, Children's Minister
The Children’s Ministry at Mulberry Baptist Church is dedicated to sharing God’s love with children birth through sixth grade. At Mulberry, we seek to teach children not only that God loves them, but how to love Him back. We want to guide children to hide God’s Word in their hearts, so that Biblical principles may be ingrained into their decision-making process.
Today’s children are bombarded with so many influences - peer pressure, media, internet, video games - that they can easily become confused. At Mulberry, we desire to teach children how to separate what is true from what is popular. It is more important than ever for children to learn early on to filter their decisions through the Bible, rather than their peers or popular culture. We want children to understand God’s immeasurable love for all of His children and that they can count on that love throughout their lives, no matter what. We encourage this learning through a variety of age-appropriate children’s programs, such as Sunday School, Children’s Church, AWANA, Children’s Choir, and Bible Drill.
At
Mulberry, we take the necessary security precautions to insure the safety
and well-being of every child that comes to our church. We screen our
volunteers and utilize a twin wristband security system for our babies and
preschoolers. We want Mulberry to be a place where children feel safe and
loved – a place where children want to be – a place for families.
