The Children’s Ministry at Mulberry Baptist Church is dedicated to sharing God’s love with children birth through sixth grade.  At Mulberry, we seek to teach children not only that God loves them, but how to love Him back. We want to guide children to hide God’s Word in their hearts, so that Biblical principles may be ingrained into their decision-making process.  We want to support parents as they fulfill the primary role of teaching children to know and love God.

Today’s children are bombarded with so many influences – peer pressure, media, internet, video games – that they can easily become confused. At Mulberry, we desire to teach children how to separate what is true from what is popular. It is more important than ever for children to learn early on to filter their decisions through the Bible, rather than their peers or popular culture. We want children to understand God’s immeasurable love for all of His children and that they can count on that love throughout their lives, no matter what. We encourage this learning through two very fun and engaging programs, Awana and Explore The Bible.

Our kids love Awana on Wednesday nights!  They memorize scripture, worship God through music, interact with leaders and one another, play games, and have a lot of fun. Awana is a great place for both church members and guests to make new friends and get involved. Visit our Awana page to learn more about how this ministry works at Mulberry.

On Sunday mornings, we utilize a curriculum called Explore the Bible by LifeWay publishing.  Explore The Bible is an interactive book by book study that helps children understand biblical history, people and lessons, and how to apply those lesson to their daily life.  Explore the Bible helps kids understand that the Bible isn’t just a story, it’s history.  It’s HIStory!  Check out our K-6 Sunday School page here.

At Mulberry, we take the necessary security precautions to insure the safety and well-being of every child that comes to our church. We screen our volunteers and utilize a simple but effective security system for our babies and preschoolers. We want Mulberry to be a place where children feel safe and loved – a place where children want to be –    a place for families.
